Model Position/Step Compensation
This operation is provided to manipulate a large set of data and model changes for all Position Groups and/or Positions.
The calculation used by this operation is:
Source Compensation x Factor % = Target Compensation
Where the Source Compensation is the base amount used for the modelling calculations and the Target Compensation is the destination where the results of the modelling calculation will to be applied TO. The Source and Target cannot be the same.
The Factor is the multiplier to be applied to the Source Compensation type to reach the desired result. 100% will yield a Target amount equal to the Source amount.
Example 1:
If the base compensation amount is $25.00 and the factor is 10% the Target Compensation amount will be $2.50.
Example 2:
If the base compensation amount is $25.00 and the factor is 110% the Target Compensation amount will be $27.50.
Example 3:
Vacation pay is 4% of base wages. Select the Source Compensation as Wages, the Target as Vacation Pay and the Factor as 4%.
Example 4:
Hourly overtime is paid at a rate of 1.5 times base wages. Select the Source Compensation as Wages, the Target as Hourly Overtime and the Factor as 150%.
