Capital Plan Module

 

The Capital Plan Module provides a set of tools, components and reports that allow users to create a capital budget and multi-year capital plan for their organization.

Core Components

The Capital Plan is built using the following core components:

• Chart of Accounts (COA) and related Key Segments

• Projects

• Summary Template

• Groups

 

Scenario management and analysis is supported using multiple Datasets.

Projects may be organized by fund, department or corporate level using configured reporting Trees.  

A set of standard reports allow decision makers to view the portfolio of Projects based on Dataset, year, expenditures and financing groups.  

Detailed information relating to each Project, such as project descriptions, justifications and other attributes may be input for each Project and captured in individual configured Project Summary Reports.

A Project that is not approved in one year can be demoted to Not Approved status by the Administrator, but retained for possible promotion to the budget in a subsequent year.

 Capital Plan Permissions

Access to the Capital Plan Module is enabled through module-level permissions.

Permissions can be refined to control access to specific module components, including:

• Datasets
